Sod Nepal conducts livestock management training as a source of income in rural areas. In the program’s initial phase, 8 families were supported with livestock to earn their income. Later the support is rotated to the next families who are interested in the livestock business. This process is continuing and now more than 16 families have adopted livestock businesses and are earning theirs through livestock management.
Rural women’s life circulates around household work and agriculture to feed their families. They could not get out of that daily schedule until and unless they are drawn to a new approach to income generation. The Saraswoti Women group of Taple adopt a new approach to income generation by starting poultry farming after the training provided on poultry farming. They weren’t able to get out of that daily schedule until and unless they are drawn to a new approach for income generation. The poultry farm was constructed in support of SoD Nepal. The women’s group is running it enthusiastically and successfully.
The poultry farm is a huge success in Taple as the chicken supply in Taple is underproduction of Saraswoti poultry farm. They can supply according to demand and earn profitable outcomes from the poultry business. This activity boosts their confidence and increases positivity in their mind. As a result, they have constructed another farm for increasing poultry business in support of our organization.
MAHALAXMI TRAINING AND PRODUCTION HOUSE
Bharosa has a meaning of trust and confidence. Our Bharosa training and production center is run on trust and cooperation of women from the various groups. The women who were selected for training are fully employed in the production center and earning their income through tailoring skills. The main production over here is School Uniform, Khada and Mensuration Pad which has a major requirement in the market as per to latest scenario. Women are capable of producing quality finishes goods which has a positive response from the market. The produced goods from the center are supplied to the market through marketing. Our Khada production has a good market area.
Bharosha Training & Production House
Our organization has been organizing following programs related to skill developments.
Bamboo training
In Gorkha Municipality ward number 2 Taple Nine women were trained from bamboo training. The training was facilitated by Laxmi Kumari Rai.
Beauty Parlor Training
In Gorkha Municipality ward number 2 Taple Nine women were trained from bamboo training. The training was facilitated by Laxmi Kumari Rai.
Tailoring
Sixth months training was conducted by SoD Nepal. Fifteen women in Taple were benefited from this training and started to making clothes in Bharosa production center.
Poultry Farming
45 group members of micro saving credit of cooperative has been benefited from the poultry farming training
Clothes (Dhaka) Knitting and stitching
The training was held in Taple for six months. Six women were trained from this training and started weaving Dhaka cloths.
Goat Farming
At the first phase of the program of livestock fifteen farmers in Taple has been benefitted from goat farming. SoD Nepal has supported for the farmers to generate sustainable income and goal to self-reliance.

Agriculture training provided by SoD Nepal empowers women by providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to participate fully in the agricultural sector. This participation increases their decision-making power, enhances their social status, and improves their economic independence. Also, agriculture training for women in Nepal is critical for enhancing agricultural productivity, ensuring food security, promoting empowerment and gender equality, and contributing to the country’s economic growth.
