''Education Programs''

Despite living in the 21st century, many children are still denied access to education due to poverty and economic crises. Although education is widely recognized as a fundamental right, countless children cannot attend school regularly and face high dropout risks. Our organization is committed to ensuring every child’s right to education by supporting poverty-driven children through scholarships, school dress distribution, nutrition programs, and other essential services that promote regular attendance and learning continuity.

We firmly believe that no child should be deprived of education. Every child deserves equal rights and opportunities. As children are the future of the nation, safeguarding their right to education is essential to building a better and more sustainable future.

Technical Education

In Nepal, many students graduate with academic certificates but lack practical skills, leading to unemployment or forced labor migration abroad, particularly to Gulf countries. To address this challenge, our technical education program integrates academic knowledge with hands-on training, empowering students with employable skills. By promoting self-reliance and local employment, we aim to reduce dependency on foreign labor and contribute to sustainable community development.

Our vision is to engage students from grades 9 to 12, ensuring that upon completing high school they also receive a nationally recognized technical education certificate in collaboration with CTEVT (Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training). As Nepal’s autonomous apex body for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), CTEVT is dedicated to developing skilled and technically competent human resources essential for the nation’s growth.

We are currently and successfully operating two technical institutes.

  1. Balambu Technical Institute, located in Balambu, Chandragiri–12, Kathmandu, is actively running four technical courses: Assistant Beautician, Mobile Repairing and Maintenance, Building Electrician, and Automobile Repairing and Maintenance.
  2.  Meanwhile, Janapriya Secondary School, located in Simalchaur, Pokhara, Kaski, is under construction to accommodate technical class. Upon completion, the institute will offer Computer Software Technical course.
  3. Similarly, Shree Saraswoti Tika Secondary School, located in Pokhara 33, Chirgadhi Kalikasthan Kaski, is under construction to start technical class. The institution will offer Cooking Technical course.
my choice program

The education pattern of most of the schools are monotonous and use conservative approach of study. We tend to ignore the interest of student in various fields. Our ‘My choice’ program main motive is to provide student a platform to express their field of interest. With that motive we organize various such activities in school to refresh student mind from regular education pattern.

Outcomes from My choice program: “We can allocate capacity and capability of student through this program” said by principal of Bag Bhairab School. “I feel refreshed and in mood to study after extracurricular activities” says student of Shree Mahalaxmi Secondary School. “I am thankful to SoD Nepal for introducing My Choice program in our school. This program has helped me to carry on my interest towards cultural dance” says student of Mahendra Gram School.

Career education development
( dream Job)

As said in proverb, life without aim is incomplete or useless. The education system of Nepal is similar to mentioned proverb. The education system of Nepal has no final results. Students are studying every day without any major goals in life. In major cases students have no dream and they are studying without any purpose in life. Such education system has major impact on future of both student and nation. In order to add a change in this system of education our organization has been keeping forward Dream Job which mainly focuses on importance of dreaming and having aim in life. We have already witness a major loss to nation when thousands of students and population migrate abroad in search for their aim and opportunities, due to the lack in education outcome in Nepal. Most students and people are not aware regarding various jobs and opportunities that are blooming in Nepal.

computer distribution to the students

Feeling the need for ICT (Information communication and technology) in modern society, materials like computers, cc cameras, and projectors were provided to the school of Gorkha, Tanahun, Kaski, and Kathmandu. Correspondingly school bags, school uniforms, educational materials, and scholarships to needy students were distributed among the students of the school. Nutrition plays a vital role in the development +primary group, coming to school without meals resulting in a bad impact on health and education. To overcome the problem, the organization has been providing nutritious food to the kids studying in ECD. The overwhelming result has increased the number of students and has become easier to approach holistic development. Similarly, for further development in the study and general knowledge SoD Nepal has been supporting a library. The educational awareness program is another program that has changed the mind of the parents and has started to send the children to school.

Stationary/Dress distribution to the students

SoD Nepal’s initiative to distribute stationeries to deprived students stands as a beacon of hope and progress in the realm of education. By addressing a fundamental need, the organization is contributing to a more inclusive and equitable educational landscape in Nepal. As these students receive the tools they need to learn and grow, SoD Nepal’s initiative becomes a powerful catalyst for positive change, inspiring the next generation to reach new heights through the transformative power of education.

scholarship program

Education in Nepal has greatly improved throughout the twentieth century; Nepal still faces many struggles, to date. Even though education is a weapon to improve one’s life many children are still deprived of education. Besides, a devastating earthquake in 2015 and recent pandemic of coronavirus have worsened the status of education. Thereupon, the SoD Nepal Organization seeks to improve the education system with reforms.SOD Nepal  has been providing scholarship to more than 100 students. More than 1200 parents are benefitted from educational support.

GUARDIAN Interactions/Awareness Programs

Guardian counseling and interaction programs done by SoD Nepal help support student development by providing a supportive environment where students can learn and grow. These programs have helped improve communication and engagement between guardians, teachers, and administrators. This helps create a more cohesive and collaborative school community, and can also help ensure that students receive the support they need inside and outside the classroom. In overall, by providing opportunities for guardians to become more involved in the school community, these programs can help improve parent involvement and participation in their child’s education. This can lead to better academic outcomes and a more supportive home environment.

nutritious food for children

A proper nutritious food is a basic right of every child. Also, a nutritious food plays an important role in growth and development of a children mind and physique. But in spite being aware about requirement of nutrition there are many such children who belong to poor economic background and can’t afford nutritious food. Our nutrition program supports such economically poor students who cannot afford food in school and have to study in empty stomach. Realizing importance of nutrition in child growth we conduct regular nutrition program in various school focusing on children who are economically devoid. This program not only help in children growth but also motivates them to attend school regularly. After nutrition program student rarely miss their classes.
